Friends of North Tyneside volunteers

Friends of North Tyneside is a new project from North Tyneside Volunteer Centre aimed specifically at volunteers aged 50 and over.

As part of VODA, the North Tyneside Volunteer Centre offers advice, information and support to volunteers helping them to take part in a range of opportunities and projects.

Volunteering is a great way to give some of your time to a cause you care about or to make a difference in your community. It’s also a fantastic way to meet new people, gain new skills and enjoy new experiences. Volunteering can be arranged to suit your interests, your availability and your skills. They can help match people to opportunities that suit them, and can also offer extra support to volunteers that need it, plus training and a range of resources.

The Centre welcomes volunteers of any age, but if you are over 50, interested in the Friends of North Tyneside project and would like to help contribute to it – or simply find out more, please get in touch.

Opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

You can contact them to discuss volunteering either in the office, over the phone or at a venue near you.
